Summary:This paper presents the development of a steer-by-wire system using AUTOSAR methodology. AUTOSAR defines common standards for the development of embedded automotive software. Some aspects of safety and timing requirements are analyzed. We show how AUTOSAR model permits to design and implement a safety embedded system using well define steps. First, the system is validated by simulation and then a partial implementation of the system is performed on an embedded target for real tests.
