Summary: | The carbonation of CaO calcined from a chemical pure CaCO 3 in oxy-fuel combustion condition was investigated in a thermo gravimetric analyzer. The influence of temperature and CO 2 concentrations on the carbonation of CaO were investigated. It was found that temperature is very important for CaO carbonation reaction. At the range of tested temperatures, higher temperature can accelerate the carbonation of CaO and increase the conversion ratio. It could be concluded that ash will easier to deposit on the high temperature heater zone. It is also found that, CO 2 concentration can accelerate the chemical reaction, but the influence is not obvious like temperature. Also, a CaO calcined from a industry limestone was selected for testing further and the similar carbonation tendency happened. The activation energy of carbonation of calcined product of chemical pure CaCO 3 was calculated. |
