Description
Summary:The modified nanometer-sized TiO 2 as a solid sorbent was prepared by using impregnation method, and characterized by using SEM. The adsorption properties of the sorbent to Co(II) in static system, main factors affecting the adsorption and desorption, adsorption isotherms and influence of coexisting ions on the determination of Co(II) were investigated by FAAS, and regeneration experiments were carried. When test solution containing the sorbent was vibrated for 5 min and stationed for 12 h at pH 8.0, 0.1000 g of modified nanometer-sized TiO 2 could adsorb Co(II) quantitively, and Co(II) adsorbed onto the sorbent could be desorbed with 10 mL of 4.0 mol/L of HNO 3 as strippant. The sorbent possessed of excellent adsorptivity. It has been applied to the determination of Co(II) in environmental water samples.
