description | Plant location is one of the most important strategic decisions on supply chain design. Existing literature emphasize on qualitative factors such as transport costs, exchange rates, labor rates etc. While there are existing models that capture qualitative variables, there is limited research linking these variables with measures of the firm's operational competitiveness and performance measurement framework. In this study, we propose a framework that includes 3 parts: First, model which shows the performance measurement framework. Secondly, indicators for performance measurement and finally a method presented to evaluate through the model by using the suggested indicators. In this study, EFQM model which is a performance measurement framework based on self assessment have been used. For the purpose of meaningful assessment, a relative value ascribed to the criteria within the EFQM. Basic scoring used during the assessment process is RADAR. |
