Summary: | Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology has been used for minimizing the power-consumption in power systems. But the PWM system has three major problems: time delay; nonlinearity; and frequency response variation. All these phenomena that are not observed in a conventional analog system cause instability, narrowing bandwidth of the feedback system. In this paper, the nonlinearity and the frequency response variation are discussed. The technologies presented here are helpful for improving the performance of the PWM feedback system. |
