AMLCD design

Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Displays (AMLCDs) have been developed for a number of portable electronic applications. New applications of AMLCDs such as workstations and desktop displays require larger diagonals and higher resolutions. The design limitations of the technology are reviewed.
