Summary: | In this paper, a partial update method for feedback channel estimation is presented for 8VSB DTV digital on-channel repeater (DOCR). For reducing a cross-correlation between input signals of a feedback channel estimator, conventional DOCR using interference canceller intentionally generates processing delay which may act as a post-cursor ISI at a DTV receiver. Utilizing sparse characteristics of feedback channel profile, proposed scheme suppresses update of a channel estimation filter for initial taps. Simulation results verify that proposed scheme obtains equivalent interference suppression performances without any intentional processing delay. |
