Description
Summary:For poor quality of playback and low scalability in Video-on-Demand (VoD) system, it proposes combination of Content Distribution Network (CDN) and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) technologies applied in traditional C/S architecture. CDN server provides video initial data for user's fast playback and complementary streaming, P2P networks provides normally required video data downloaded in advance, the directory server executes user's access control, further ensuring system performance. Simulation results show that: combination of CDN and P2P technologies in VoD system compares to other VoD system based on traditional C/S architecture, ensuring the existing user's quality of playback and accommodating more users, so scalability has been improved.
