Summary: | The synchronized collaborative design within heterogeneous CAD systems becomes a significant application in industry environments. A key problem is to construct a neutral operation set to aid the conversion of operations among different CAD systems. This paper presents an approach of transformation of operation commands between different CAD systems. An approach to construct neutral modeling command (NMC) set is built by taking the intersection of system modeling command (SMC) from all CAD systems according to parametric feature modeling. By means of the NMC set the translations of SMC-to-NMC and NMC-to-SMC are given of operation commands from different CAD systems such as Pro/E, UG, SolidWorks. Finally, the system architecture of collaborative design within different CAD systems is discussed. |
