Summary: | Combinations of electric and magnetic dipoles radiating circularly polarized waves are studied. The use of a chiral particle is introduced as a means to create a single radiating particle that combines an electric dipole and a magnetic dipole. It is shown both numerically and experimentally that a pair of two such particles, when fed with a 90 degree phase shift, acts as a Huygens' source radiating circularly polarized waves only in one half-space. |
