Description
Summary:In this paper, a low-profile dipole type passive UHF radio frequency identification (RFID) tag antenna used in the UHF band is presented. The proposed antenna is anti-symmetrical about the origin and consists of meandered lines and two metal plates. The measured maximum read range of the proposed tag antenna is 6.5 meters at 915MHz. The proposed tag antenna size is 25 mm by 65 mm, and the operating bandwidth is from 902 to 928 MHz under 6 dB power reflection coefficient condition. The performance analysis, Kurokawa's method and the Friis free-space formula, is presented along with the simulated and measured data.
