Summary:This paper describes a three year project that promoted developing problem solving abilities to engineering students. This is attempted by effectively leveraging technology. To solve problems successfully, the students used algorithmic thinking and logical reasoning, and demonstrated the solution in the context of programming and through team work. We found that the effective use of technology, people, and process can create the desired impact.
