Summary: | In a distributed antenna system, the optimal antenna deployment design scheme is proposed, in which both the location and the number of the distributed antennas (called access point, AP) are considered for energy efficiency. By minimizing the average distance between users and the APs, the optimal AP distribution is given. The optimal number of APs can be obtained considering both the circuit power and the transmission power for each AP. The simulation results show that the transmission power can be reduced by optimal AP location design. The simulation also considered the trade-off between the circuit power and the transmission power consumption and the total system power can be reduced significantly. |
