Substrate-free metal cavity surface-emitting laser with CW operation at room temperature
A substrate-free metal-coated surface-emitting laser is reported. Silver is used to form the optical cavity, inject the current directly, and facilitate the heat removal. The device functions under continuous-wave operation at 298K.
