Summary: | HVDC transmission systems are widely used in China. Using the software of PSCAD/EMTDC, the model of FCC-HVDC is established referring to the CIGRE benchmark model of HVDC. The principle of FCC in this model is described, and the models of LCC-HVDC and FCC-HVDC are presented. Then this paper introduces contrast tests under two typical disturbances: A-phase ground fault and shutting degree generating +5°step on the inverter side. Active power of the rectifier station and inverter station with the same short circuit ratio (SCR) are analyzed respectively, also dc power of the rectifier side and inverter side are analyzed. Consequently, the characteristics of power transmission and dynamic recovery of FCC-HVDC under different conditions are studied. In the last, the simulation results show that FCC-HVDC may improve the capacity of DC transmission, and keep relatively satisfactory dynamic recovery characteristics under the conditions of various typical disturbances as mentioned above. |
