Summary: | In this paper, it is shown that the loop seal operation status in circulating fluidized beds, exhibits three different types of flow characteristics, dependent on the solids' fluidized state in the recycle chamber and standpipe. These types of flow characteristics are defined as: (a) Non-operation, (b) Operation with the solids height in the standpipe, (c) Operation without the solids height in the standpipe. The key pressures in loop seal can indicate these different operation statuses. |
