Description
Summary:We examine the relative performance of female mechanical engineering students at North Carolina A&T State University in a range of classes, each emphasizing different skills. Contrary to all previous studies that we have found, the female students in our study performed better, by all measures, than the males in all but one class, and they performed equally well in that. Possible explanations for this finding are discussed.
