Summary: | This presentation discusses the possible prediction of FES enabled functional endurance on grounds of the currently defined and utilized fatiguing index of stimulated muscles. It is shown that biomechanical characteristics related to standing posture correlate well with the standing time, while the fatiguing index is a poor indicator. Therefore, it is justified to propose an improved definition of fatiguing index, for ensuring better prediction of functionality. |
