Summary:In order to develop the system of satellite communication and its new technology in the laboratory, an S-Ku band up-conversion and down-conversion sections is designed by the combination of microwave PLL synthesizer, S band cavity filter, Ku band cavity filter and RF mixer in this paper. 30 MHz bandwidth for the input signal of simulate transponder is realized. Furthermore, an S band coaxial cavity filter is proposed, and the amplitude-frequency characteristic and phase-frequency characteristic of up-link and down-link are tested.
