Description
Summary:This paper describes a method for 3D finite difference analysis of transient processes with voltage excitation, eddy currents are not taken into account. The three dimensional transient process equations are formulated in terms of a magnetic vector potential A. The calculations are performed in two steps. In the first step the dynamic impedances of all coils and all coil currents are calculated. In the second step the magnetic field is calculated. The nonlinear effect in the ferromagnetic media is taken into account. The results of the calculations are presented.
