Description
Summary:In many electromagnetic problems such as: calculation of scattering parameters, determination of magnetic field gradients, or in the modeling of electromagnetic interference, the Fourier transform is a part of the algorithm used. The paper proposes an analytical procedure to calculate the random error in the frequency domain (FD) for values achieved from time domain (TD) data by means of the Fourier transform. This error is calculated as a function of the errors and or the measurements parameters in the TD. The formulation achieved is applied to calculate errors in harmonic signal analysis and in the reflection coefficient from the TD measurement.
