Semiconductor laser white noise suppression by optical filtering with ultra-narrowband FBG
The white frequency noise of semiconductor lasers is attenuated significantly by optical filtering with an ultra-narrowband fiber Bragg grating. This noise reduction will improve carrier phase estimation in coherent receivers of multi-symbol signals.
