Summary:In this paper, instead of using commercial platform ZigBee we build a green-energy intelligent indoor surveillance system by utilizing our developed wireless platform which complies with the IEEE 802.15.4 standard. Three kinds of sensors are considered to be deployed for the monitoring of the environmental conditions such as temperature, vibration and object movement. Those sensing data will then be locally analyzed to control appliance and wirelessly transmitted to a central computer for remote monitoring. Experimental results demonstrate the success of the proposed design.
