Summary: | The analysis of mixing patterns in a social (or organizational) network, yields the laws of how nodes in a network connect with each other. We hypothesize that organizational networks with compatible mixing patterns will be integrated more successfully. We design a simulation experiment of organizational integration and show how mixing patterns and network assortativity affect the outcomes. The proposed method might be useful in organizational mergers and acquisitions. |
