Summary: | By using the WIPL-D Time Domain Solver (TDS) to analyze the performance of the unloaded ice cream cone monopole (ICC) and the resistively loaded cone RC, it is shown that the ICC offers higher efficiency without the complications of resistive loading. It was also shown that the pulse response was improved by using a less abrupt junction at the interface between the coaxial line and the ground plane. |
