Description
Summary:Managing information systems development project is not an easy thing. Many studies have claimed that failure in the development of consistent information system occurs because of requirement. Currently Bank X has been facing problems creating information systems for their Work Units. The Special Unit for Information Management (IM Unit), who performs the Requirements Engineering process in Bank X felt that their RE process has already been in the right direction. However, the desired results in their information system are not yet achieved. Therefore, a case study is done to understand what aspect of Bank X's RE processes that are still ineffective by measuring their RE process maturity. In this paper, each RE practices are identified (ones had been well defined and consistent, also ones which are still weak). Priority improvements are given by mentioning which good practice needs to be implemented. New lessons are also learned to improve the assessment model by adding aspects concerning communication, group decision making and participation.
