Self-wavelength initialization method for the Bragg-grating based tunable light source in WDM networks

Self-wavelength initialization method, using a spectrally-sliced broadband light, is proposed and demonstrated with transmission performance. Because of broad spectral width of the reference, only 0.5dB penalty was shown under external injection ratio of 3dB.
