Summary: | This paper presents the design and the simulated performance of a UHF RFID tag antenna realized with a fractal dipole based on the tent transformation at the first level. The dimensions of the fractal antenna are optimized to ensure a proper conjugate impedance matching with the chip input impedance over the UHF RFID band (860-960 MHz). The performance of the designed antenna has been simulated using the electromagnetic simulator, ADS Momentum, based on the method of moments (MoM). The input impedance, conjugate match factor and the read range are illustrated. |
