Summary: | The results obtained from optimizing the parameters of the electro-dynamic DRO-orbictron system with a periodic structure in the form of a binary comb placed in a rectangular groove on one of the open resonator (OR) mirror are presented. The rectangular groove acts as a quarter-wave transformer and is conductive to an increase in the resonance field amplitude in the transit channel between the combs. If the depth and the width of groove are chosen to be optimal, then the field of the operating TEM 00q -mode tends to shrink down to the groove and one can also observe a decrease in radiation losses during the effective de-excitation of higher-order modes in an OR. |
