Diagnostics of the materials quality parameters in the microwave range

We consider two methods of electromagnetic diagnostics of substances by determining both their complex permittivity and the attenuation of electromagnetic energy passing through a layer of the substance. The relationship for the updated definition of the VSWR great values is offered.
