Summary:Because of being short in energy at present, power-saving becomes more important for the medium-sized and small-sized enterprises. Thus, it is a challenging and necessary task to study power-saving technologies and strategies. The single power-saving technology used for the single equipment in the product line has been already mature now, such as replacing the old electrical device with the high efficiency one, using reactive power compensation (SVC) or active power filter (APF). However, they are seldom presented in the view of whole system product line. The paper puts forward a strategy called system power-saving strategy for medium-sized and small-sized enterprises. In this strategy, the mechanical loads are firstly analyzed in order to make all electrical equipment match each other appropriately in electrical parameters. Secondly, the power consumption of the electrical system whose equipment technical parameters have been matched is calculated, then the minimum power consumption system could be chosen as a reference for enterprises' power saving project. It has been verified that system power-saving strategy is more useful in power-saving project than single power-saving technology.
