Summary: | In this paper we present an absorption model in a reverberation chamber (RC). This time domain model uses time constants measurements to characterize absorbers in reverberation chambers in a given frequency range through their absorbing cross sections. The absorption of a rectangular piece of absorber is evaluated and the effect on the loading for different configurations and with several pieces of absorber is discussed. This analysis allows a fine control of the loading of the chamber. Finally, the material of the absorbing object is characterized through an absorbing efficiency coefficient, extracted from simulations and measurements. |
