Summary: | Design and performance of a balanced self-oscillating mixer (SOM) co-designed and integrated with a 16 element quadratic microstrip patch array is presented in this paper. The oscillation frequency of the SOM is 24 GHz and the conversion gain is better than -15 dB. The patch antenna array has a gain better than 16dB. The integrated receiver has a 3dB-bandwidth of 800 MHz and a peak receiver gain of 5.9 dB. |
