Description
Summary:When the lightning electromagnetic pulse (LEMP) injected into the loss soil by earth electrodes, due to the strong electric field carried by the lightning, the soil ionization may occur. The ionization phenomena will not only affect the distribution of the LEMP, but also affect the soil properties, such as conductivity. Based on finite difference time domain (FDTD) method, the non linear effects of soil ionization under different parameters of LEMP and the soil properties is investigated. Results show the distribution and attenuation of LEMP. The evolution of the soil properties is discussed also.
