Summary:For industrial controllers, hot swap capability is needed to increase system availability, as well as supplying many slots. Based on a PCI bus, we developed a new system bus where we can utilize commercially available chips for expansion modules. We use the MOS transfer logic switch near the system bus to reduce the stub length. We report the calculated and experimental results on the performance of this system bus.
