Summary: | When the total transmit power for a distributed antenna system (DAS) is constrained, downlink power allocation among remote radio heads (RHHs) should be judiciously configured for multicast/broadcast services (MBS), in order to optimize the performance. The paper derives power allocation criteria for max-min fairness in single-antenna and multi-antennas cases, which can be served as power allocation metrics when the BS has perfect large-scale fading knowledge of all users. We also propose an alternative method that is appropriate for scenarios where only limited feedback is allowed. Both methods provide better outage performance as compared to uniform power allocation. |
