Summary: | The most commonly used control algorithm in industry is the Proportional-Derivative-Integral (PID) control. The controller's performance is decided by the proper selection of the control parameters. In this paper, Bacterial Foraging Optimization Algorithm (BFOA) is applied for optimizing the controller's parameters of a dc-dc converter. The robustness of the BFOA tuned PID controlled DC-DC converter under load disturbances is studied. Finally, the controller's effectiveness is studied by comparing it with the conventional PID controlled DC-DC converter. |
