Summary:Significant focus has been placed on the development of functionality in simulation software to aid the development of models. As such simulation is becoming an increasingly pervasive technology across major business sectors. This has been of great benefit to the simulation community increasing the number of projects undertaken that allow organizations to make better business decisions. However, it is also the case that users are increasingly under time pressure to produce results. In this environment there is pressure on users not to perform the multiple replications and multiple experiments that standard simulation practice would demand. This paper discusses the innovative solution being developed by Saker Solutions and the ICT Innovation Group at Brunel University to address this issue using a dedicated Grid Computing System (SakerGrid) to support the deployment of simulation models across a desktop grid of PCs.
