Summary:Pendidikan Sivik dan Kewarganegaraan or Civic Education and Citizenship is a compulsory subject for primary school students who are in Standard 4, Standard 5 and Standard 6. The advancement of technology has changed educational delivery methods. The use of game-based in learning environment has received increased attention from educators since games have assumed an important place in the lives of most children. Current method on teaching Civic Education and Citizenship subject requires good memorization skills and this has cause the lost of interest on this subject among school children. To avoid promoting an exam oriented culture in Malaysia education system, this paper presents a development of a game-based learning courseware, M-Master, for geography topic in Civic Education and Citizenship subject. The courseware has been developed using Adobe Flash CS4 and Adobe Photoshop CS4. A functional testing and a user acceptance test have been conducted. A total number of 10 participants were involved in the study. The results show that this courseware has received positive feedback from the students and is capable to help them to bring back the enjoyment and excitement in educational system.
