Description
Summary:Aircraft cabin channel model is quite important for verification of the key technologies in the onboard wireless communications, especially the schemes of Mobile Communications on Aircraft (MCA) in physical layer, such as modulation, coding and antenna design etc. The aircraft cabin channel has two important features:1) Due to the tunnel-shape of the cabin, the radio waves reflet many times and the multiple signals are abundant; 2) There is not specific statistical channel model for cabin wireless communications. It is difficult to take the channel measurement due to the restriction of FAA and the manufacture of the aircraft, e.g., Boeing. Moreover, establishing such statistical model needs large experiment data of channel measurement, which is really costly and time-exhausted. In this paper, a novel real-time aircraft cabin channel model is established with ray-tracing algorithm. This model can directly produce the real-time simulation result of the channel. Furthermore, the result can be further employed to build up the statistical model instead of the experimental channel measurement data. This method is really economic compared with the traditional experimental method.
