A fine directional deinterlacing using virtual edge distribution

A fine directional deinterlacing using virtual edge distribution (FDVED) is presented. The proposed method can preserve delicate edges having various forms. From the subjective and objective perspective, experimental results demonstrate that FDVED outperforms the conventional deinterlacing methods.
