Summary: | This paper presents an implementation of a DSP and FPGA controllers for dc-dc buck converters. DSP and FPGA based digital control allows for the implementation of more functional control schemes, standard control hardware design for multiple platforms and flexibility of quick design modifications to meet specific customer needs. Digital controllers are less susceptible to aging and environmental variations and have better noise immunity. This paper aims to design a buck converter using DSP and FPGA controllers and study the performance under line and load variations. |
