Summary: | In this paper, a newly developed two element conformal folded slot antenna array is introduced. To preserve the flexibility of the array, a coplanar waveguide transmission line is used to feed both elements of the array. Measurements show that a very good impedance match between the source and antenna exists for various bend angles. Furthermore, measurements of the radiation pattern show that for various bend angles of the antenna away from the transmitter, the broadside radiation is only slightly affected. Finally, several designs are simulated to show how various aspects of the antenna geometry affect the input impedance. Overall, good agreement between measurements and simulation is observed. |
