C1. Performance evaluation of MC-DS-CDMA system in presence of modulated narrowband interference

This paper is concerned with a multicarrier direct sequence code division multiple access (MC-DS-CDMA) system operating over a Rayleigh fading and sharing common spectrum with multi binary phase shift keying narrowband interference (BPSK NBI). A suppression filter is employed in each subband of the...

description This paper is concerned with a multicarrier direct sequence code division multiple access (MC-DS-CDMA) system operating over a Rayleigh fading and sharing common spectrum with multi binary phase shift keying narrowband interference (BPSK NBI). A suppression filter is employed in each subband of the MC-DS-CDMA receiver to reduce the NBI. A complete performance analysis is provided. The analysis shows that, the suppression filter can improve the MC-DS-CDMA system performance significantly. It is also illustrated that under the effect of multi BPSK NBI the double sided filter outperforms the single sided filter at small values of the signal to interference power ratio and at the same number of taps. Moreover, it is shown that, increasing the number of taps of the double sided suppression filter to be more than nine taps increases the complexity of the filter and does not add any performance gain to the system.
