Description
Summary:The detectability of crashed aircraft in RADARSAT-2 Ultra-Fine mode imagery of the Canadian North using automatic target detection algorithms has been examined. Optimization of algorithm parameters has been shown to decrease the number of false targets (those not of interest) which are detected. The use of multiple images can provide refinement in determination of potential target locations to Search and Rescue personnel.
