Reduced complexity iterative multi-user detection for DS/CDMA with FEC
This paper discusses an iterative multi-user receiver for code-division multiple access (CDMA) with forward error control (FEC) coding. The receiver is derived from the maximum a-posteriori (MAP) criteria for the joint received signal, but uses only single user MAP decoders. Iterations of the receiv...

Summary: | This paper discusses an iterative multi-user receiver for code-division multiple access (CDMA) with forward error control (FEC) coding. The receiver is derived from the maximum a-posteriori (MAP) criteria for the joint received signal, but uses only single user MAP decoders. Iterations of the receiver/decoder set are used as a mechanism for improving performance. Sub-optimisations are analysed, simulated, and discussed as a way of reducing the complexity. |
