Summary: | This paper is to propose a model to service digital holograms that can display a holographic image by interacting with viewer. This model includes both the cases of computing CCGH computer-generated hologram) at the transmitting side or receiving side, which depends on the computational power of each side. Interacting with the viewer is assumed and can be implemented with a face tracking technique, etc. It uses two sets of parallelly arranged depth cameras and RGB cameras. It includes a preprocessing step to calibrate cameras and to rectify the images. To interact with viewer, it generates a depth map and luminance image of an intermediate view which matches to the viewing point. The calculation of CGH is done with two GPU (graphic processing unit). It also includes both display schemes with simulation tool and with optical set-up. It takes about 350 ms to display a holographic image with simulated regeneration scheme. |
