Signal amplification in a synchronized field emission NEMS

We present in this paper a study on highly resistive SiC nanowires in a singly clamped geometry. We demonstrate that these field emission nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS) can be synchronized ton an external AC signal and act as an amplifier.
