Summary:The variation principle of tension on shaftless-driven printing press is discussed in this paper. The mathematical model of variable tension values on tension control system is established. Both models based on the algorithms of fuzzy control and self-tuning fuzzy-PID on shaft-less driver are modeled and simulated. The simulation results indicate that the algorithms of self-tuning fuzzy-PID is better than fuzzy control in the complex system with multiple variables, time-varying and strong-coupling characteristics. The simulation system provides a theoretical basis to build the actual control system.
