Summary: | Recently we have introduced a new approach based on the Holland's formalism to deal with thin wire in the FDTD method. However stability problem occurs when a wire has its length very short compared to the FDTD cell size. To avoid CFL criterion reducing, an original procedure using a temporal Crank-Nicolson scheme is proposed. This approach is applied to the auxiliary equations of Holland's formalism only. |
